These were produced while working at the City of Mississauga under the art direction of the in-house team. These designs were part of a Winning Submission to RGD's 2016 In-House Design Awards.
When I was presented with the opportunity redesign these for the new brand, I noticed that the information they were conveying was not very clear. I first organized them into two categories: Public, and Employee. From there I created versions for an annual and a monthly layout. Any differences could then be specified by colour, and the addition of text in the white bar above the security strip. I was able to refine a 6 category system into a 2 category one, making it easier to keep track and identify the tags.
